In the beginning was the Logos, and the Logos was with Êlôhîym, and the Logos was Êlôhîym.
The same was in the beginning with Êlôhîym.
All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shined in darkness; and the darkness did not comprehend it.
There was a man sent from Êlôhîym, whose name was Yôchânân.
The same came for a witness, to testify of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
He was not that Light, but was sent to testify of that Light.
That was the true Light, who lights every man that comes into the world.
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world did not know him.
He came unto his own, and his own did not receive him.
But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become the sons of Êlôhîym, even to them that believe on his name:
Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of Êlôhîym.
And the Logos was made flesh, and stayed among us, (and we saw his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the father,) full of grace and truth.
Yôchânân bare witness of him, and cried, saying, this was he of whom I spoke, he that comes after me is in front of me: for he was before me.
And of his fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
For the law was given by Môsheh, but grace and truth came by Yahusha the Mâshı̂yach.
No man has seen Êlôhîym at any time, the only begotten son, who is in the bosom of the father, he has declared him.
And this is the testimony of Yôchânân, when the Yahûdı̂y sent Kôhên and Lêwı̂y from Yarûshâlaim to ask him, who are you?
And he confessed, and did not denie; but confessed, I am not the Mâshı̂yach.
And they asked him, what then? Are you Êlı̂yâhû? And he said, I am not. Are you that prophet? And he answered, no.
Then they said unto him, who are you? That we may give an answer to them that sent us. What do you say of yourself?
He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, make straight the way of Âdônây, as said the prophet Yashayâhû.
And they who were sent were of the Pârâsh.
And they asked him, and said unto him, why do you baptize then, if you are not that the Mâshı̂yach, nor Êlı̂yâhû, neither that prophet?
Yôchânân answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there stands one among you, whom you do not know;
It is he, coming after me who was before, whose sandal's latchet I am not worthy to untie.
These things were done in Bayith ărâbâh beyond Yardên, where Yôchânân was baptizing.
The next day Yôchânân saw Yahusha coming unto him, and said, look at the Amnos of Êlôhîym, who takes away the sin of the world.
This is he of whom I said, after me comes a man who is in front of me: for he was before me.
And I did not know him: but that he should be made manifest to Yâshârêl, therefore I come baptizing with water.
And Yôchânân testified, saying, I saw the rûach descending from heaven like a dove, and it stayed upin him.
And did not know him: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, upon whom you shall see the rûach descending, and remaining in him, the same is he who baptizes with the rûach Qôdesh.
And I saw, and testify that this is the son of Êlôhîym.
Again the next day after Yôchânân stood, and two of his disciples;
And looking upon Yahusha as he walked, he said, look at the Amnos of Êlôhîym!
And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Yahusha.
Then Yahusha turned, and saw them following, and said unto them, what do you seek? They said unto him, Rab, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where do you stay?
He said unto them, come and see. They came and saw where he stayed, and stayed with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
One of the two who heard Yôchânân speak, and followed him, was Andreas, Shimôn Kêph's brother.
He first found his own brother Shimôn, and said unto him, we have found the Mâshı̂yach, which is, being interpreted, the Mâshı̂yach.
And he brought him to Yahusha. And when Yahusha saw him, he said, you are Shimôn the son of Yônâh: you shall be called Kêph, which is by interpretation, a stone.
The following day Yahusha wanted to go forth into Gâlı̂yl, and found Philippos, and said unto him, follow me.
Now Philippos was of Bayith tsayâd, the city of Andreas and Kêph.
Philippos found Nethanêl, and said unto him, we have found him, of whom Môsheh in the law, and the prophets, wrote, Yahusha of Nazareth, the son of Yôsêph.
And Nethanêl said unto him, can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philippos said unto him, Come and see.
Yahusha saw Nethanêl coming to him, and said of him, look at a Yâshârêl indeed, in whom is no deceit!
Nethanêl said unto him, where do you know me from? Yahusha answered and said unto him, before Philippos called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.
Nethanêl answered and said unto him, Rab, you are the son of Êlôhîym; you are the king of Yâshârêl.
Yahusha answered and said unto him, because I said unto you, I saw you under the fig tree, you believed? You shall see greater things than these.
And he said unto him, truly, truly, I say unto you, from now on you shall see heaven open, and the angels of Êlôhîym ascending and descending upon the son of man.
