Paulos, a slave of Êlôhîym, and an apóstolos of Yahusha Mâshı̂yach, according to the faith of Êlôhîym's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after piety;
In hope of eternal life, which Êlôhîym, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
But has in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of Êlôhîym our Sotír;
To Titos, my own son after the common faith: love, mercy, and peace, from Êlôhîym the father and Âdônây Yahusha Mâshı̂yach our Sotír.
For this cause I left you in Kríti, that you should set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed you:
If any is blameless, the man of one gyní, having faithful children not accused of riot or insubordinate.
For a superintendent must be blameless, as the steward of Êlôhîym; not self-pleasing, not quick angry, not given to wine, not quarrelsome, not given to filthy lucre;
But hospitable, a promoter of virtue, discreet, just, sacred, self-controlled;
Holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
For there are many insubordinate and vain talkers and deceivers, especially they of the circumcision:
Whose mouths must be stopped, who overthrow whole houses, teaching things which they should not, for filthy lucre's sake.
One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, the Krís are always liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
This saying is true. Why rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
Not paying attention to Yahûdı̂y’s fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
To the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are contaminated and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is contaminated.
They profess that they know Êlôhîym; but in works they deny him, being idolatrous, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
