The book of the generation of Yahusha the Mâshı̂yach, the son of Dâwid, the son of Abrâhâm.
2

Abrâhâm begot Yitschâq; and Yitschâq begot Yaăqôb; and Yaăqôb begot Yahûdâh and his brethren;
3

And Yahûdâh begot Perets and Zerach of Tâmâr; and Perets begot Chetsrôn; and Chetsrôn begot Râm;
4

And Râm begot Ammı̂ynâdâb; and Ammı̂ynâdâb begot Nachshôn; and Nachshôn begot Śalmâ;
5

And Śalmâ begot Bôaz of Râchâb; and Bôaz begot Ôbêd of Rûth; and Ôbêd begot Yishay;
6

And Yishay begot Dâwid the king; and Dâwid the king begot Shelômôh of her that had been the Gyní of Ûrı̂yâhû;
7

And Shelômôh begot Rechabâm; and Rechabâm begot Ăbı̂yâhû; and Ăbı̂yâhû begot Âsâ;
8

And Âsâ begot Yehôshâphâṭ; and Yehôshâphâṭ begot Yôrâm; and Yôrâm begot Ûzzı̂yâhû;
9

And Ûzzı̂yâhû begot Yôthâm; and Yôthâm begot Âchâz; and Âchâz begot Chizqı̂yâhû;
10

And Chizqı̂yâhû begot Menashsheh; and Menashsheh begot Âmôn; and Âmôn begot Yôshı̂yâhû;
11

And Yôshı̂yâhû begot Yekonyâhû and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Bâbel:
12

And after they were brought to Bâbel, Yekonyâhû begot Shealtı̂yêl; and Shealtı̂yêl begot Zerûbbâbel;
13

And Zerûbbâbel begot Ăbı̂yhûd; and Ăbı̂yhûd begot Elyâqı̂ym; and Elyâqı̂ym begot Azzûr;
14

And Azzûr begot Tsâdôq; and Tsâdôq begot Yehôyâqı̂ym; and Yehôyâqı̂ym begot Eliud;
15

And Eliud begot Elâzâr; and Elâzâr begot Mattân; and Mattân begot Yaăqôb;
16

And Yaăqôb begot Yôsêph the man of Miryâm, of whom was born Yahusha, who is called the Mâshı̂yach.
17

So all the generations from Abrâhâm to Dâwid are fourteen generations; and from Dâwid until the carrying away into Bâbel are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Bâbel unto the Mâshı̂yach are fourteen generations.
18

Now the birth of Yahusha the Mâshı̂yach was on this way: when as his mother Miryâm was espoused to Yôsêph, before they came together, she was found with child of the rûach Qôdesh.
19

Then Yôsêph her man, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privately.
20

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of Yahuah appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Yôsêph, you son of Dâwid, do not fear to take unto you Miryâm your Gyní: for that which is conceived in her is of the rûach Qôdesh.
21

And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name Yahusha: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22

Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of Yahuah by the prophet, saying,
23

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Immânûêl, which being interpreted is, Êlôhîym with us.
24

Then Yôsêph being raised from sleep did as the angel of Yahuah had called him, and took unto him his Gyní:
25

And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Yahusha.
