Qêynân (קֵינָן), Mahălalêl (מַהֲלַלְאֵל), Yered (יֶרֶד),
Chănôk (חֲנוֹךְ), Methûshelach (מְתוּשֶׁלַח), Lemek (לֶמֶךְ),
Nôach (נֹחַ), Shêm (שֵׁם), Châm (חָם), and Yepheth (יֶפֶת).
The sons of Yepheth; Gômer (גֹּמֶר), and Mâgôg (מָגוֹג), and Mâday (מָדַי), and Yâwân (יָוָן), and Tûbal (תּוּבַל), and Meshek (מֶשֶׁךְ), and Tı̂yrâs (תִּירָס).
And the sons of Gômer; Ashkenaz (אַשְׁכְּנַז), and Rı̂yphath (רִיפַת), and Tôgarmâh (תּוֹגַרְמָה).
And the sons of Yâwân (יָוָן); Ĕlı̂yshâh (אֱלִישָׁה), and Tarshı̂ysh (תַּרְשִׁישׁ), Kittı̂y (כִּתִּי), and Dôdânı̂ym (דֹּדָנִים).
The sons of Châm; Kûsh (כּוּשׁ), and Mitsrayim (מִצְרַיִם), Pûṭ (פּוּט), and Kenaan (כְּנַעַן).
And the sons of Kûsh; Sebâ (סְבָא), and Chăwı̂ylâh (חֲוִילָה), and Sabtâ, and Ramâh (רַעְמָה), and Sabtekâ (סַבְתְּכָא). And the sons of Ramâh; Shebâ, and Dedân.
And Kûsh begat Nimrôd: he began to be mighty upon the earth.
And Mitsrayim begat Lûdı̂y (לוּדִי), and Ănâmı̂ym (עֲנָמִים), and Lehâbı̂ym (לְהָבִים), and Naphtûchı̂ym (נַפְתֻּחִים),
And Pathrûsı̂y (פַּתְרֻסִי), and Kaslûchı̂ym (כַּסְלֻחִים), (of whom came the Pelishtı̂y,) and Kaphtôrı̂y (כַּפְתֹּרִי).
And Kenaan begat Tsı̂ydôn his firstborn, and Chêth (חֵת),
The Yebûsı̂y also, and the Ĕmôrı̂y, and the Girgâshı̂y (גִּרְגָּשִׁי),
And the Chiwwı̂y, and the Arqı̂y (עַרְקִי), and the Sı̂ynı̂y (סִינִי),
And the Arwâdı̂y (אַרְוָדִי), and the Tsemârı̂y (צְמָרִי), and the Chămâthı̂y (חֲמָתִי).
The sons of Shêm; Êylâm (עֵילָם), and Ashshûr, and Arpakshad, and Lûd, and Ărâm, and Qeynan, and Ûts (עוּץ), and Chûl (חוּל), and Gether, and Meshek (מֶשֶׁךְ).
And Arpakshad begat Qeynan, and Qeynan begat Shêlâh, and Shêlâh begat Êber.
And unto Êber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Yoqṭân (יָקְטָן).
And Yoqṭân begat Almôdâd, and Sheleph, and Chătsarmâweth (חֲצַרְמָוֶת), and Yerach (יֶרַח),
Hădôrâm (הֲדוֹרָם) also, and Ûzâl, and Diqlâh (דִּקְלָה),
And Êybâl (עֵיבָל), and Âbı̂ymâêl (אֲבִימָאֵל), and Shebâ,
And Ôphı̂yr (אוֹפִיר), and Chăwı̂ylâh, and Yôbâb. All these were the sons of Yoqṭân.
Shêm, Arpakshad, Qeynan, Shêlâh,
Êber, Peleg, Reû,
Śerûg, Nâchôr, Terach,
Abrâm; the same is Abrâhâm.
The sons of Abrâhâm; Yitschâq (יִצְחָק), and Yishmâêl (יִשְׁמָעֵאל).
These are their generations: The firstborn of Yishmâêl, Nebâyôth (נְבָיוֹת); then Qêdâr, and Adbeêl (אַדְבְּאֵל), and Mibśâm (מִבְשָׂם),
Mishmâ (מִשְׁמָע), and Dûmâh (דּוּמָה), Maśśâ (מַשָּׂא), Chădad (חֲדַד), and Têymâ (תֵּימָא),
Yeṭûr (יְטוּר), Nâphı̂ysh (נָפִישׁ), and Qêdemâh (קֵדְמָה). These are the sons of Yishmâêl.
Now the sons of Qeṭûrâh (קְטוּרָה), Abrâhâm's concubine: she bare Zimrân (זִמְרָן), and Yoqshân (יָקְשָׁן), and Medân, and Midyân, and Yishbâq (יִשְׁבָּק), and Shûach (שׁוּחַ). And the sons of Yoqshân; Shebâ, and Dedân.
And the sons of Midyân; Êyphâh (עֵיפָה), and Êpher, and Chănôk, and Ăbı̂ydâ (אֲבִידָע), and Eldââh (אֶלְדָּעָה). All these are the sons of Qeṭûrâh.
And Abrâhâm begat Yitschâq. The sons of Yitschâq; Êśâw and Yâshârêl (יִשְׂרָאֵל).
The sons of Êśâw; Ĕlı̂yphaz (אֱלִיפַז), Reûêl (רְעוּאֵל), and Yeûsh (יְעוּשׁ), and Yalâm (יַעְלָם), and Qôrach (קֹרַח).
The sons of Ĕlı̂yphaz; Têymân, and Ômâr, Tsephı̂y (צְפִי), and Gatâm, Qenaz, and Timnâ, and Ămâlêq.
The sons of Reûêl; Nachath (נַחַת), Zerach, Shammâh, and Mizzâh.
And the sons of Śêı̂yr; Lôṭân, and Shôbâl, and Tsibôn (צִבְעוֹן), and Ănâh, and Dı̂yshôn, and Etser (אֶצֶר), and Dı̂yshân (דִּישָׁן).
And the sons of Lôṭân; Chôrı̂y (חֹרִי), and Hômâm: and Timnâ was Lôṭân's sister.
The sons of Shôbâl; Alyân (עַלְיָן), and Mânachath, and Êybâl, Shephı̂y, and Ônâm. and the sons of Tsibôn; Ayâh (אַיָּה), and Ănâh.
The sons of Ănâh; Dı̂yshôn. And the sons of Dı̂yshôn; Chamrân (חַמְרָן), and Eshbân, and Yithrân, and Kerân (כְּרָן).
The sons of Etser; Bilhân, and Zaăwân (זַעֲוָן), and Yaăqân (יַעֲקָן). The sons of Dı̂yshân; Ûts, and Ărân.
Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Ĕdôm before any king reigned over the children of Yâshârêl; Bela the son of Beôr: and the name of his city was Dinhâbâh.
And when Bela was dead, Yôbâb the son of Zerach of Botsrâh (בָּצְרָה) reigned in his stead.
And when Yôbâb was dead, Chûshâm (חוּשָׁם) of the land of the Têymânı̂y (תֵּימָנִי) reigned in his stead.
And when Chûshâm was dead, Hădad the son of Bedad, which smote Midyân in the field of Môâb, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Ayyôth (עַיּוֹת).
And when Hădad was dead, Śamlâh of Maśrêqâh (מַשְׂרֵקָה) reigned in his stead.
And when Śamlâh was dead, Shâûl of Rechôbôth (רְחֹבוֹת) by the river reigned in his stead.
And when Shâûl was dead, Baal chânân (בַּעַל חָנָן) the son of Akbôr reigned in his stead.
And when Baal chânân was dead, Hădad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pâı̂y (פָּעִי); and his wife's name was Mehêyṭabêl (מְהֵיטַבְאֵל), the daughter of Maṭrêd, the daughter of Mêy zâhâb (מֵי זָהָב).
Hădad died also. And the dukes of Ĕdôm were; duke Timnâ, duke Alyâh, duke Yethêth,
Duke Ohŏlı̂ybâmâh, duke Êlâh, duke Pı̂ynôn (פִּינֹן),
Duke Qenaz, duke Têymân, duke Mibtsâr,
Duke Magdı̂yêl, duke Îyrâm (עִירָם). These are the dukes of Ĕdôm.
