For I want you to know what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodíkia, and many that not seen my face in the flesh;
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of Êlôhîym, and of the father, and of Mâshı̂yach;
In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
And I say this, lest any man should deceive you with persuasive language.
For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stability of your faith in Mâshı̂yach.
As you have therefore received Mâshı̂yach Yahusha Âdônây, so walk in him:
Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as you have been taught, increasing there with gratitude.
Beware lest any man capture you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Mâshı̂yach.
For in him dwells all the completion of the abstract bodily.
And you are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
In whom also you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Mâshı̂yach:
Buried with him in baptism, where you are also risen with him through the faith of the operation of Êlôhîym, who has raised him from the dead.
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, he has brought to life together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Erasing the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his stake;
And having disarmed principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Let no man therefore judge you in food, or in drink, or in respect of a feast, or of the new month, or of the Shabbâth:
Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Mâshı̂yach.
Let no man defraud you in preferring lowliness of mind and ceremonial observance of angels, sticking the nose into those things which he has not seen, vainly inflated by his fleshly mind,
And not seizing the head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increases with the increase of Êlôhîym.
Therefore if you are dead with Mâshı̂yach from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are you subject to ceremonial rule,
(Do not touch; do not taste; do not handle;
Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
Such things have indeed a show of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
